103- Global Navigation Platform Precision Improvement by Integration of Secondary Sensors – Robustness Analysis

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CANDIDATE: The objective of this Master’s research project is to propose solutions and to develop algorithms for precision improvement of a global navigation platform by integration of secondary sensors. This 12 months Master’s Degree research project will start with a meticulous analyze of the existing digital signal processing algorithms, with an emphasis on the simulation and real-time performances obtained. Bibliographical studies of the GEDEX navigation platform and of the integration of sensors like INS, altimeter, GeoMIM MEMS, etc. will be done. A first important research part will deal with the digital signal processing of secondary sensor measurements which will lead to an increase in precision of the global navigation platform. Other important part of the work is the integration of secondary sensor measurements in the navigation sensor solutions. The goal of this part is to increase the positioning resolution and the frequency error in the frequency band of interest. The research work will continue with an analysis of robustness and reliability of the entire HRNav system and recommendations for improvements will be done.
