104- Robustness and Precision Improvement of the HRNav System using Hybrid GPS/Galileo and GPS Modernized Receiver

RESPONSABILITIES OF THE CANDIDATE : The objective of this Master’s research project is to analyze the robustness and reliability of the HRNav system by using a hybrid GPS/Galileo and modernized GPS receiver. The improvement in precision will be also considered. This 12 months Master’s Degree research project will start with a thorough analyze of the existing HRNav system and of the performances obtained using the GPS RTK receiver. Bibliographical studies of the HRNav system and of the GPS and Galileo receivers will be done. An important aspect of the bibliographical study will be the modernized GPS system, which will be also considered in this Master’s research project. The implementation of the analysis will be done in simulation using Matlab/Simulink. A first important research part will deal with the analysis of acceleration computing algorithms using the carrier phase information for the combined constellation. Other important aspect which will be taken into account is the impact of the increased satellite total constellation (GPS/Galileo) on the performances of the high precision navigator.
