129- Improvement of a Universal Glass Cockpit (common avionics interface) for iPad

LASSENA Lab is very active in the development of unique avionics systems and is looking for a student highly skilled in Objective-C for developing a common iPad HMI (Human-to-Machine Interface) for our avionics systems. The interface will enable real-time visualization and data logging for every system in a similar way as they’re displayed at the cockpit and communicated through the ARINC-429 bus. The student will provide the HMI with the capability to control the avionics systems, e.g. selecting different frequency channels, sending ACARS messages, configuring aircraft ICAO address, etc. The connection between the iPad and the avionics hardware will be wireless. This internship will provide the student also with the opportunity to carry out flight tests using procedures based on the developed HMI.
