According to the schedule, the 1st trainee student will be in charge of the following tasks:
1) 3-25 Acquisition of general background of DME
2) 3-26 Assist with the testing of the DME function
3) 4-31 Analysis and evaluation of sensitivity gains from SDA
4) 4-32 Data acquisition from bench tests in various environments and analysis
The objective of this research project is to assist with the implementation and to document functional weaknesses to the extent possible. This project will commense with a thorough investigation of DME functionality and environment including analysis of the minimum operation performance standards MOPS, of the DME outlined in RTCA documents DO-180A and DO-189.
